Different finishes belong to the category “Finishing changes and discolours over time”. This means the finish is a “Living Colour” and will discolour and / or change through the months / years. No varnish is applied to these finishes: they age in an ‘elegant way’.

The following colours are subject to this phenomenon:

Polished Brass (OL): The colour will become darker; frequently touched parts will develop a patina. Where water is allowed to dry on the brass, dark spots will appear due to oxidation.

Brushed Brass (OS): The colour will become darker; frequently touched parts will develop a patina. Where water is allowed to dry on the brass, dark spots will appear due to oxidation.

Polished Nickel (NL): The colour will become more matte. Where water is allowed to dry on the brass, dark spots will appear due to oxidation.

Brushed Nickel (NS): The colour will become darker; frequently touched parts will develop a patina. Where water is allowed to dry on the brass, dark spots will appear due to oxidation.

Since these finishes don’t have a varnish layer, acidic products can immediately affect the material. Commercial anti-limescale products should therefore not be used.

Towel rails connections

You can connect our towel rails in 3 ways:

  • For central heating
  • Dual fuel
  • All electric

For central heating

If you want a towel rail for central heating, you can add a connection kit with angled valves (770.016.xx) or straight valves (770.018.xx). These kits have a connecting tube with an external thread 1/2 ". You can screw this onto a build-in mounted box with an internal thread 1/2 ". This build-in box is mounted in the wall and connected to a Multiskin.

Dual fuel

If you want a dual fuel towel rail you can add a connection kit with angled valves (770.016.xx) or straight valves (770.018.xx) and an electrical element without a thermostat (770.030) or with thermostat (770.040). The connection kits have a connecting tube with an external thread 1/2 ". You can screw this onto a build-in mounted box with an internal thread 1/2 ". This build-in box is mounted in the wall and connected to a Multiskin. The electrical element without thermostat (770.030) can be connected to an external thermostat. You can hide the cable that runs from the electrical element to the wall in the optional cover for electrical element (770.021.xx). The electrical element with thermostat (770.040) allows you to switch the electrical element on or off and to choose a temperature setting that suits you best. The cover for electrical element (770.021.xx) is not compatible with this thermostat.
To use the electrical function, completely close both valves of the central heating. After this you can switch on the electrical element without any problem. To switch back to central heating, switch off the electrical element and open the taps again.

For electrical use

If you want an all electric towel rail, choose an electric element without a thermostat (770.060) or with a thermostat (770.070). The electrical element without thermostat (770.060) can be connected to an external thermostat. You can hide the cable that runs from the electrical element to the wall in the optional cover for electrical element (770.021.xx). The electrical element with thermostat (770.070) allows you to switch the electrical element on or off and to choose a temperature setting that suits you best. The cover for electrical element (770.021.xx) is not compatible with this thermostat.
Once the towel dryer has been delivered, we can no longer adjust it. So you can no longer switch from an electric model to a central heating model and vice-versa.

The electrical element of the towel dryer is mounted on the bottom left unless otherwise stated.
